Can I resit the UCAT if I am unhappy with my score?

Not within the same application cycle. You sit it once per year. If your 2026 score is below target, your options are to apply strategically with that score or to reapply in a future cycle after resitting in the next year's test window. It is not a permanent one-attempt limit, just one per cycle.

Is online testing available for UAE students?

The Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctored option is available in many countries, including the UAE. Check current availability at ucat.ac.uk before booking, as approved locations are confirmed each cycle.

Does a low score mean I cannot get into medical school?

Can I appeal my grade?

What happens if I fail CAS?

How do I know if my results have reached my university?

Is NEET required to sit the IMAT?

No. NEET is not required for IMAT registration or Italian university admission. However, if you are an Indian student who plans to return to India and practice medicine after graduation, the NMC requires that you held a valid NEET qualifying score at the time of your original university enrollment. You do not need a high rank, just a qualifying score.

Can I choose more than one Italian university?

EU students can rank multiple universities on Universitaly and participate in rounds of seat allocation as seats become available. Non-EU students apply to one university only. There is no second chance within the same cycle if your score does not clear your chosen university's cut-off. This is the most important rule to understand before deciding where to apply.

What happens if I miss the registration window?

The IMAT is offered once per year. If you miss registration, you wait until 2027. Registration typically closes within 9 to 12 days of opening, and test centre seats in popular locations fill within hours. Have your Universitaly account created and payment card ready before registration opens.

Are there scholarships available?

Some Italian universities and the Italian government offer merit-based scholarships and DSU grants. Eligibility is generally assessed after admission. It is worth researching your target university's scholarship page, but do not build your financial plan around it.

How is the IMAT different now from a few years ago?

Since CINECA took over from Cambridge Assessment in 2024, the exam has placed more weight on direct science knowledge in Biology and Chemistry and reduced abstract logical reasoning. Can I still apply to Columbia or Princeton without a score this autumn?

Yes. Both remain test-optional for the 2026-27 cycle only. From 2027-28, both require scores. If you are applying this autumn and do not have a score, these two are still technically available test-optional. But keep in mind that the students who do submit scores at these schools cluster in the 1480 to 1570 range, so going test-optional is increasingly a disadvantage rather than a neutral choice.

Do IB or A-level results substitute for the SAT?

Not at schools that now require testing. Yale previously accepted AP and IB scores through its test-flexible policy, but ended that in May 2026. Strong IB or A-level results strengthen your application but do not replace the SAT requirement.

How many times should I sit the SAT?

Is my 2026 NEET score valid if I want to apply in 2027 or 2028?

What are "released tests"? Released tests, also known as QAS, are tests that College Board has made available to test-takers through the paid Question and Answer Service (QAS). In 2016 and 2017, QAS was available for domestic (US) Saturday tests in January, May, and October and for international Saturday tests in May. It was also available for April School Day tests. Beginning in 2018, College Board discontinued the January administration and replaced the January QAS date with the March QAS date. All other QAS dates remained the same.
What are "unreleased tests"? Unreleased tests are tests from non-QAS dates -- such as June, November, December, etc. -- that have been "leaked" (i.e., obtained and circulated illegally).
Why aren't unreleased tests included in this post? Unreleased tests are stolen copyrighted materials. Including them here would directly contravene Reddit's terms of service. Even if we moderators wanted to post them (which we don't), we simply couldn't do so without putting the sub in danger of suspension. This is no exaggeration: a large test prep sub (r/MCAT) was suspended following aggressive copyright complaints from UWorld, and College Board can be very aggressive when it comes to unreleased tests. For example, r/SAT receives copyright removal requests (originating with College Board) when even individual images from unreleased tests slip by the moderators. Here is an example of what we see in our moderation log on a regular basis. See all those "Reddit Legal" "copyright removal" entries? That's College Board, filing DMCA strikes against mere images from unreleased tests.
Can I ask for unreleased tests in the sub? Please don't. Doing so will violate rule #4 in the sidebar and will likely result in a ban.
Why have you included PSATs? Can they be used to prepare for the SAT? In general, past PSAT/NMSQT tests are less valuable as preparation resources than past SAT tests (obviously) but more valuable than third-party SAT tests (Princeton Review, etc.) Many find PSAT/NMSQT Writing to be virtually indistinguishable from SAT Writing but perceive larger differences between SAT and PSAT Reading and Math. Important: Please be aware that the PSAT 8/9 test is designed for younger students (as young as an eighth grade) and is therefore much less valid as an SAT prep tool.
What about older SATs, such as those from before the March 2016 redesign? We will not be including any pre-2016 SATs here. The March 2016 redesign was so dramatic as to render pre-2016 tests essentially obsolete as preparation resources.
Some of the tests linked above are missing "curves." Why? At some point in the last couple of years, College Board became considerably less diligent about releasing curve information with the online QAS. Recently, our moderator u/Yodatsracist has been doing outstanding work to reconstruct test curves in our official score release threads (example here). If you can't find anything useful in the score release threads, then consider simply searching the relevant terms (for example: "March 2019 sat curve") and see what you can find.
